Achievements

Pannal Cricket Club has a history spanning over 100 years, and it is believed that the first game was played in 1875. Below is a list providing details of the club's developement and achievements, resulting in the current four side's that Pannal CC has running today.

1969 Pannal enter the first year of Nidderdale League cricket

1971 Evening League 4th Division Champions

1972 Evening League 3rd Division Champions and CB Atkinson Cup Winners

1973 Nidderdale League Division 4 Champions

1974 Extension to the ground's pavillion is completed

1975 Nidderdale League Division 3 Champions and Evening League 2nd Division Champions

1977 Runners-up in Nidderdale League Division 2

1978 First year in Nidderdale League Division 1; 2nd XI enter Div.5 of Nidderdale League & gain promotion. First August Bank Holiday Gala

1979 2nd XI promoted to Nidderdale League Division 3

1983 Debuts for PC Graham & John Goldthorp New scorebox in use for first year

1984 Claro U14 league champions.

1985 Junior U14 XI reach Yorkshire semi-final, losing to Sheffield Collegiate & win Claro U14 League

1986 Winners of the Addison Cup with Sean Atkinson Man of the Match

1987 U17 XI win League & Arthur Barrett Cup

1988 Square re-arranged to play north to south. U17 XI win Arthur Barrett Cup with Jonathan Barrett man of the match. Addison Cup match awarded to Bilton because R. McCarthy was ruled ineligible. Juniors win the Arthur Barrett Cup and the U17 League

1990 Pannal win N.Yorkshire County round of NVKO then lose to Freuchie from Scotland. 2nd team win Nidderdale League Division 3. First disciplinary action involved Steve Jones & Mike Hanby but was dropped after Charles Powell's intervention. Pannal CC tour Oxfordshire playing against Kingston Bagpuize, South Oxford Amateurs and Dorchester. Select XI won the Inter-League Worthington Cup

1991 Pannal B won Evening League Div. 4

1992 Paul Miller won Div.1 Batting Award with average of 69

1994 3rd XI created thanks to Roger Deakin

1995 First Nidderdale League Division 2 Championship for 2nd XI First capture of Atkinson-Swires Cup

1996 U15 win Bob Mellor Cup; Jason Bird won Division 1 Batting Award with average of 54; Pannal B won Evening League Division 4. Pannal retain the Atkinson-Swires cup.

1997 First Division 1 Championship with Paul Thompson top of Division 1 Batting Averages; 3rd team promoted to Division 5 as runners up with Barry Waddington top of Batting Averages 1997. Pannal retain the Atkinson-Swires Cup for a third year

1998 U15 XI win League Championship. Pannal retain the Atkinson-Swires Cup for a fourth year

1999 Jonathan Foggitt & Jon Smith finish 1st & 2nd in Division 1 Bowling Averages; 2nd XI were relegated to Division 3

2000 First capture of Reserve KO Competition with MoM: Mark Pearson; 2nd team promoted to Division 2 as runners up

2001 U15 win League Championship

2002 U15 win League Championship and inaugural Indoor League Title. U17 win Arthur Barrett Cup with Phil Critchley man of match

2003 U17 again win Arthur Barrett Cup with Phil Critchley man of match. U15 win Bob Mellor Cup. U9 win League Title. Pannal 4th XI take over Glasshouses fixtures

2004 Pannal 4th XI exists for first season in its own right, thanks to James Bickers. No Evening League team. Greg Cull and Chris Henry finish first & second in Div. 1 Bowling Averages

2005 Re-joined the Evening League in Div. 6 and win promotion to Div. 5. Under 17 and Under 11 teams win their Indoor League Competitions with the Under 15 team runners up in their final.

2006 Pannal 1sts finish as runners-up in the Atkinson Swires Cup. Evening league side win promotion to Div. 4.
